I study the formation and transformation of international order, drawing on International Political Economy and International Relations theory. My research focuses on the questions of who becomes a rule-maker and under what conditions rules and norms change.
After receiving an M.A. in North Korean Studies from Chung-Ang University, I was selected in 2014 as a Chinese Government Scholarship recipient through the National Institute for International Education (Republic of Korea). I pursued my doctoral training in International Politics at Jilin University, where I received my Ph.D. in December 2019.
My recent research examines the relationship between the formation of the modern state and the development of capitalism from the perspective of international political theory. I am also expanding my research to explore the political, economic, and social implications of technological change.
국제정치경제학과 국제정치이론을 기반으로 국제질서의 형성과 변동을 연구하고 있습니다. 저의 연구는 주로 “누가 규칙을 만드는가(Rule-maker)?”와 “어떤 조건에서 규칙과 규범이 변화하는가?”라는 질문에 기반합니다.
중앙대학교에서 북한학 석사학위를 취득한 후, 2014년 대한민국 정부(국립국제교육원) 중국정부초청장학생으로 선발되어 중국 길림대학교에서 국제정치학을 전공하였으며, 2019년 12월 국제정치학 박사학위를 받았습니다.
최근 관심사는 근대 국가 형성과 자본주의의 관계를 정치학 이론의 관점에서 분석하는 것이며, 과학기술 발전이 정치·경제 질서와 사회 구조, 그리고 한반도에 미치는 영향을 주요 연구 주제로 확장하고 있습니다.
